For an individual or group to be eligible for the 2018 awards, the activity needs to have been carried out in Brisbane between 16 July 2017 – 30th June 2018.
Individuals in the Brisbane community young or old are encouraged to participate in the Awards. The individual selected will have a new idea or be doing their part in litter clean-ups or awareness.
Community Groups (Incorporated or Non-Incorporated)
All Brisbane community groups are eligible to enter, from Scouts and Guides to local land and catchment groups, and will be selected based on making a difference to litter prevention.
Entries from Brisbane businesses are welcome, whether the business is small, medium or a large. Achievement is sought in waste management practice, litter reduction and education initiatives.
Primary and high schools within the Brisbane City Council area, small or large, are eligible to enter. Recognition will be for environmental initiatives in litter reduction, management and education.
Multicultural Groups and Associations
The Awards welcome entry from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities. These can be small or large groups and associations in the Brisbane community.
Parents & Citizens (P&Cs)
Parent and Citizen groups in the Brisbane community can enter the awards. This could range from a clean up organised by the P&C to a new idea to raise awareness.
These include social clubs/groups that fall within a business in the Brisbane community. Get an activity organised with your colleagues today and enter the Awards!
