If you know someone in Brisbane going above and beyond for our environment, you can recognise their achievement by nominating them for a Cleaner Suburbs Award.
2018 nominations open until Friday 27 July.
The Cleaner Suburbs Awards
Brisbane City Council developed the Cleaner Suburbs Awards to champion the achievements of residents and groups who work together for a clean and green city. CitySmart, Brisbane City Council's Sustainability Agency, has partnered to deliver the awards.
In 2017, the Awards recognised individuals, community groups, businesses, workplaces and schools for contributions in the areas of litter prevention, waste management and resource recovery, and waterways catchment health.
The awards are judged by a panel, except the People's Choice Litter Prevention Award which is voted on by the public.
The judges for the 2018 Cleaner Suburbs Awards are:
- Louise Dudley - Chief Executive Officer at Queensland Urban Utilities
- Paul Klymenko - Chief Executive Officer at Planet Ark Environmental Foundation
- Neil Horrocks - Chief Executive Officer at CitySmart
The 2018 winners will be announced in a ceremony hosted by the Lord Mayor at Brisbane City Hall on Wednesday 17 October.
