Welcome to the Cleaner Suburbs Awards
Honouring people and groups going above and beyond for our environment on Brisbane.
Winners were announced in a ceremony hosted by the Lord Mayor at Brisbane City Hall on Wednesday 17 October.
The Cleaner Suburbs Awards
Brisbane City Council developed the Cleaner Suburbs Awards to champion the achievements of residents and groups who work together for a clean and green city. CitySmart, Brisbane City Council's Sustainability Agency, has partnered to deliver the awards.
The awards are judged by a panel, except the People's Choice Litter Prevention Award which is voted on by the public. The judges for 2018 were:
- Louise Dudley - Chief Executive Officer at Queensland Urban Utilities
- Paul Klymenko - Chief Executive Officer at Planet Ark Environmental Foundation
- Professor Andrew Griffiths - Executive Dean, Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, University of Queensland
